Sermon Outline: Everywhere, Everything, All the Time – All Places

Sermon – Christmas: Find Hope (Matthew 1:18-21)

Read the texts – Isaiah 9:2-7; Matthew 1:18-21

In the midst of a disconnection epidemic, God connects with us through the birth of his son at Christmas. In this sermon of our ‘Christmas series’, Ken Noakes shows us the hope we can have because of the birth of Christ. Because Christ’s birth was the opening act of God’s salvation plan for mankind, which culminates at the cross where our sins are finally and completely paid for.

Big Day Together

The Lower Mountains Anglican “Big Day Together” brought members from all our locations together for a wonderful day of Bible teaching, Fellowship, Communion, Training and Prayer.

In session 1, we were encouraged by hearing William Taylor, Rector of St Helen’s Bishopsgate, London speak about the confidence we can have in the truth of the miracle of the virgin birth. We are ready for Christmas.

In the sermon series, ‘Listening to God’, Lower Mountains Anglican Church has explored the ambiguous points of the bible in Christian faith, including the authority of the Word, its historical reliability and its clarity of message. In this final sermon, Ken Noakes will talk on the Bible’s sufficiency in providing us God’s truth and guidance.

Sermon – Listening and Speaking to God: Prayer – Believe (John 17:20-26)

Read the text – John 17:20-26

Who am I? We can have many answers to this, most of which we make ourselves or garner from those around us. In this sermon on ‘Speaking to God’, David Swan argues that the answer is who we are in Christ, and is shown in Jesus’ prayer in John 17. Listen to how we’re supposed to relate to God, each other and ourselves in Belief in the One that was sent.
