Ken Noakes preaching at Trinity Hills. What is Paul’s approach when it comes to standing for the truth of the gospel.

In this, the second of three sermons on Gospel-drive guidance Geoff Lin shows us what the Bible has to say about how we can find out how God wants us to live (God’s moral will). Geoff explains how the Bible should be the primary way we discern this and reminds us in 2 Timothy 3:14 we read that the “holy Scriptures are able to make us wise for salvation”. Geoff then provides sound advice for as to how we should do this – by reading and being challenged by, the whole of the Bible – all of “God’s Word to us”.

Geoff Lin shows that the Bible differentiates between God’s sovereign will and God’s moral will. He then goes on to explain from the Bible, why understanding that distinction will help us to live in a way that does align with God’s will and also frees us from anxiety about the decisions we face each day.

Are you lost?
In the Gospel of Luke chapter 15 (the parables of the Lost Sheep, the Lost Coin and the Prodigal Sons) we learn that God only sees two sorts of people – those who are lost (estranged from him) and those who were formerly lost but are now back in relationship with him.
Guest speaker, David Cook explains that God is waiting with outstretched arms, seeking to welcome back the lost. David invites anyone who is lost to echo the prayer that is in verse 18 saying to God “Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me part of your family”.

Why (and how) we should “grow up in Christ”; growing in both knowledge and love.

Why we should be excited (and thankful to God) as the Mandarin language Gathering starts at Trinity Church.
